3 simple steps in getting your required restricted certificates of sponsorship(RCos)for your nurses in 6 days

">

 3 simple steps

You ran an overseas recruitment campaign and travelled to the Philippines or India to interview 100 eligible candidates and offered roles to 50 strong candidates. However, three months later you have only filled up around 5 vacancies and you wonder why. You then discover that you only had 5 available restricted certificates and therefore could only progress 5 successful applicants. Meanwhile, you promised the remaining 45 candidates that they will receive their Certificate of Sponsorship in the next month. During this time, however a lot of them have moved on with other employers. You then requested for 45 allocations but for unknown reasons the Home Office either rejected your application or only granted a few. The delay in your recruitment process becomes longer.

Well there’s good news – understanding what the sponsor guidance means and knowing what the right steps are and when to do them will ensure you get the number of restricted certificates you requested from the Home Office.  Download the free step-by-step guide, and we’ll walk through how to do them right now in this blog post. When we’re done you’ll know exactly what to do and so if you’re ready let’s dive in.

3 simple steps in getting your required RCoS in 6 days

Step 1 – remember the 5th of each month as the cycle when applications for restricted certificates should be made to the Home Office via the Sponsor Management System (SMS). Submit your request on the day before the cycle date and you must provide clear justifications for the number you requested for it to be granted.

Step 2 – provide all the required information by email after submitting your requests on SMS. If you don’t you will receive an email 2 or 3 days letter requesting for this information to be provided before the 11th for a decision to be made. As you have not provided this (usually a long list) alongside the request you put on 5th this means your application will be moved to the next month cycle.

Step 3 – send an email to the Home Office on 10th to advise them that you have provided them all the information required to support your request and remind them to give you a decision by 11th.

If you do all the above steps, you can expect your licence summary section to show on 11th of each month the number of allocations granted from your request. You will also receive an email confirming this – all within 6 days!
