Highlights: Client Visits

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you all are enjoying your week! 

Following up the with the success of our first UK Care Providers Seminar hosted on 18 July for Managers and Directors of Care Homes with nursing vacancies, some of the attendees invited us to visit their care homes! We're now proud to share our clients' facilities, and we're happy to announce that their nurses are going to be in the UK very soon. Check out what went on during our visit! 

On 22 July, Monday...

We visited Victoria Care Centre, located in Park Royal, London. We were greeted by Basu Lamichhane, the General Manager, Khushboo Shah, the HR Manager, Babita Lama, the Deputy Manager and Jay Shri Chandrana, the Activities Coordinator who welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like we were part of the Victoria Care Centre Family the minute we walked in. We were given a full tour of the Care Centre and viewed some of the spacious en-suite rooms, the lounge, cinema room and lastly, the roof of gardens! It genuinely touched our hearts to see such a caring and committed team with the residents, providing them with the care they need. We also got to meet and interview two of their nurses, one from the Philippines and one from the Caribbean, which allowed us to understand their experience as an international nurse and their journey with Victoria Care! They had such positive things to say, demonstrating their happiness and a sense of security gained through working there.

On 23 July, Tuesday...

We visited Excel Care's Park Avenue Care Home. They provide a wide range of residential homes, nursing homes and domiciliary care. We were welcomed by Sweetie Singelee, the HR Officer, Aurore Kwedi, the Senior Recruitment Officer and Gemma Weldon, the Home Manager. We were also lucky to meet one of their lovely nurses and listen to her experience as an international nurse! 

"When I was in Nigeria, I was very anxious to come to the UK. There are new systems, new people. How do I blend in? Coming to the UK was a smooth transition because of the Excel Care Family as they are so supportive, it was easier than expected. I love it here in the UK and at Excel Care. For nurses that wish to come to the UK, coming with IANS will make your journey  much easier and faster. They spent time with me to help me understand how working in the UK and with a care home is like. They were helpful and patient with answering my questions."

And lastly...

On 25 July, Thursday,

We visited New Care, Ashlands Manor Care Centre, located in the village of Ashton-on-Mersey in Sale, South Manchester. After a 4 hour drive, the IANS Team happily made it to their luxurious care home and we were amazed by how well-maintained the home was! Not just that, but we really felt like we were a part of their family by being introduced to the nurses and the residents! We got to interview the lovely Alexandra Fairhurst, Recruitment Coordinator, Dawn Collett, Commissioning Director and Rose Buenafe, the Deputy Home Manager, who all provided useful and insightful information.  Seeing the relationship between the employees and their residents at the Care Centre really makes you appreciate what the Care Providers do.
