Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in a similar role with demonstratable success
  • Strong budgeting, financial forecasting and financial analysis skills required
  • Experience of Sage, Xero or Quickbooks is a must
  • Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation

Qualifications and Training

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation
  • Create new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policies
  • Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability
  • Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for the management and executive teams
  • Implement and monitor the month, quarter and year-end closeout accounting schedules
  • Provide and interpret financial information, analysing change and advising accordingly
  • Monitor and interpret cash flows and predicting future trends, formulating strategic and long-term business plans
  • Develop financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk
  • Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations such as HMRC
  • Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines, manage budgets and arrange new sources of finance for a company's debt facilities
  • Supervise junior staff and keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
  • Complete tax forms, including VAT, CIS verifications, preparations, and submissions.
  • Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Data input invoices and credit notes
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements against invoices and credit notes
  • Preparations for payment of supplier invoices
  • Check workers invoices against timesheets, input invoices, and prepare for payment
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc system reports as needed. To create and maintain trackers and other procedural spreadsheets and information
  • Create and maintain supplier credit information, and other records
  • Answer inbound calls in a professional, friendly and appropriate manner and deal with or forward accordingly
