Qualifications and Experience

Experience in a similar role with demonstratable success
Strong budgeting, financial forecasting and financial analysis skills required
Experience of Sage, Xero or Quickbooks is a must
Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
Loyalty, high work ethic, career development focused are all essential

Qualifications and Training

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or Business - Required (Master’s degree preferred)

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation
Create new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policies
Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability
Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for the management and executive teams
Implement and monitor the month, quarter and year-end closeout accounting schedules
Provide and interpret financial information, analysing change and advising accordingly
Monitor and interpret cash flows and predicting future trends, formulating strategic and long-term business plans
Develop financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk
Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations such as HMRC
Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines, manage budgets and arrange new sources of finance for a company's debt facilities
Supervise junior staff and keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
Complete tax forms, including VAT, CIS verifications, preparations, and submissions.
Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
Data input invoices and credit notes
Reconciliation of supplier statements against invoices and credit notes
Preparations for payment of supplier invoices
Check workers invoices against timesheets, input invoices, and prepare for payment
Produce regular and ad-hoc system reports as needed. To create and maintain trackers and other procedural spreadsheets and information
Create and maintain supplier credit information, and other records
Answer inbound calls in a professional, friendly and appropriate manner and deal with or forward accordingly
