“Being in the UK in 2009 gave me a taste of freedom and independence. But as a student back then, my excitement was replaced by long hours of juggling work and school. On top of my exhaustion, my 20-hour work restriction wasn’t even enough to cover expenses, making it a very difficult time for me.
